It's Born To Be Wild by the Canadian band Steppenwolf.
It was the band's second single and projected the band into stardom when it was chosen to be part of the Easy Rider OST.
The song is said to be the first ever "heavy metal" song and some suggest it also gave the name to the genre itself, indeed, one of the verses contains the first recorded reference to "heavy metal" -- "Heavy metal thunder".
